MEET THE BODY BALANCE STAFF
  Jim MacDonald MSPT, DPT, TPI CGFI-3 is a physical therapist specializing in golf performance and golf injury treatment and prevention. He has been in private physical therapy practice (East Sacramento Physical Therapy Inc.) in Sacramento since 1990. His facility is the Northern California point of service for Body Balance for Performance (BBFP). He has been part of the BBFP network for since 1998 and he has been a sponsor/trainer-therapist associated with the Northern California Section of the PGA for several years (NCPGA). He has been associated with the NCPGA annual player-teacher development forum since 2004 and he as been a seminar lecturer for the PGA & LPGA regarding physical performance and injuries. He has worked with golfers of varying indices from LPGA and Canadian tour players to beginners serious about improving the physical component of their game. As a member of the BBFP network he has been trained as a golf fitness expertTM and he recently completed his doctoral degree in which his academic practicum emphasized; golf performance, injury prevention and liability exposure for PGA & LPGA teaching professionals. Jim has been active in the physical therapy profession since 1980. He received a Bachelors of Science in Physiology from the University of California at Davis in 1983. He received a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of the Pacific in 1988 and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 2006. In April of 2007, Jim Became certified in the Titleist Performance Institute’s Certified Golf Fitness Instructor Program. As of October 2007, he is one of the first TPI certified Medical Level 3 practitioners.

  Greg Johnson, CSCS, TPI CGFI-3 is originally from Maine. He graduated with a B.S. from Plymouth State College, in Plymouth, New Hampshire, with concentrations in fitness administration, fitness and rehabilitations, and Coaching, as well as minored in health and wellness. After working in a private practice Physical Therapy clinic in Maine (Back in Motion P.T. LLC) for three years he moved to California and started working with Jim MacDonald at East Sacramento Physical Therapy and Body Balance for Performance of Sacramento. In October of 2006 Greg Became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. As defined by the NSCA; Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists are professionals who apply scientific knowledge to train athletes for the primary goal of improving athletic performance. They conduct sport-specific testing sessions, design and implement safe and effective strength training and conditioning programs and provide guidance regarding nutrition and injury prevention. Greg has also gone through the Titleist Performance Institute’s Certified Golf Fitness Instructor Program, as of October 2007, he is TPI certified Fitness Level 3. Currently, along with Body Balance for Performance, Greg is continuing his education while taking classes at California State University, Sacramento.

Colette LaSalle BS, RD (PhD. candidate) is a Registered Dietician (RD) with the State of California and a member of the American Dietetic Association. She has worked as a consultant RD for a myriad of healthcare agencies with clients of virtually all ages. She has experience working with clients with multiple diagnoses including hypertension (high blood pressure), Cholesterolemia (elevated cholesterol) and Diabetes. Colette Takes a personal interest in improving the overall health of her clients along with improving physical performance through optimal nutrition. She currently works with golfing clients to improve their fitness through diet and exercise. Colette has a long standing interest in fitness and health and is currently researching “The effects of polyphenols on cardiovascular markers". She is an avid fitness buff and studied ballet for 9 years. She has a keen interest in golf and worked at Indian wells with many of their corporate events. Collette received a Bachelors of Science in both Biology and Psychology from the University of California at San Diego. She has completed post baccalaureate studies in nutrition at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and she is currently a PhD. Candidate at the University of California at Davis. Keith Lyford, a former PGA Tour player, is a nationally recognized golf instructor with extensive experience in running golf schools and conducting golf clinics. Since 1998, Golf Magazine has selected Lyford as one of America's Top 100 Golf Instructors.
